The Government of India through its Prevention OF Sexual Harassment Of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act 2013, has made sexual harassment at workplace illegal and unlawful.
85% of women in India have faced some form of street or public harassment. Street Harassment is unawanted and society should take all necessary steps to prevent it from happening.
Domestic Sexual Harassment and violence is prevalent in India. Matters such as these are generally not reported. The victims if such harassment suffer immense trauma and need to be supported.
