More than 99% of sexual harassment cases in India go unreported. It is heart wrenching to learn that only 1% of sexual harassment cases are reported and in majority of these cases the perpetrators go free. Sexual harassment is a malaise in our society. It is time we as a society came forward to remove this malaise.
Sexual harassment is prevalent at all levels of our society, at work in public spaces and even at home. It is deep rooted evil that seems impossible to be tackled. Spreading awareness, advocating the need to prevent it and taking the right actions of redressal if it happens are the steps towards ensuring that sexual harassment is stopped.
